Description: A World Premiere Stage Adaptation by Tom Key from the 1981 Pulitzer Prize-winning Novel by John Kennedy Toole. From the get-go, Ignatius J. Reilly is embroiled in a madcap misadventure that involves a lute string, a near-riot and a rickety but lucky escape from the cops. Soon the seductive, seedy side of New Orleans itself joins a carnival cast of characters ranging from hapless, Keystonian Officer Mancuso and cool-jive, street-smart Jones to revolutionary minx Myrna Minkoff and muscatel-swilling, bowling addict Santa Battaglia. Directed by Georgia Shakespeare's Richard Garner, 16 cast members play over 40 different characters! Aug. 11 - Sept. 5. Weds. - Sats. at 7:30 pm; Suns. at 2:30 pm; Sat.
